Spring Break in Fiji

February 25, 2020

Our Co-President, Cheryl Bennett, has her bags packed for her Spring Break family vacation at Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort in Fiji. Looking for a personal and creative Spring Break option to present clients? Read on below.

Direct flights from LAX and SFO to Nadi, Fiji. Fiji Airways has a new fleet with full lie-flat seats in business class and more legroom in a new economy class segment called “Bula Space” to make the 10.5 hour overnight flight even more comfortable. By the time you wake up from this smooth overnight flight, you'll be in paradise!

So many inclusions in the nightly rate - starting at 2,300 Fijian dollars for double occupancy:

  • Meet and greet at Nadi & Savusavu Domestic Airport, and roundtrip airport transfers once in Savusavu

  • Individual bure accommodations

  • All a la carte meals, non-alcoholic beverages, afternoon tea (there are so many menu options, daily specials, and the resort can cater to all dietary needs)

  • Wash & fold daily laundry service (why go home with dirty laundry?)

  • Most resort activities including 4 off-site excursions scheduled on a weekly basis (our faves include a visit to the local village to learn about Fijian customs and traditions, and a trip to the local Farmers Market - so many different types of fruits, produce, and handmade goods)

  • Boat snorkel trips with resident marine biologist (our favorite siting was a blue starfish!)

  • Snorkel equipment

  • Wi-Fi

  • Daily Bula Club for children (adults can participate, too)

Daily Activities & Excursions - the resort is located on the 2nd largest island in Fiji and close to many excursions. Guests can choose to relax on property, jump into the Fijian waters, explore the nearby town and village, go on a rainforest hike, and so much more. Jean-Michel Cousteau Resort has dive masters on site, two marine biologists, a Bula Club (kids club), Spa, and even a private island for a day trip.

The award winning Bula Club for infants and children up to 12 years old is complimentary. Each child under 6 years old is paired with their own Fijian Nanny, children 6-12 years old are paired with a "buddy", and teenagers meet with an activities staff member. The Bula Club has 3 age-appropriate pools with water slides (yes, water slides!), tennis courts, game pavilion, and the staff does provides educational and cultural experiences with the children. Parents are welcome to play, too (yes, adults can go down the water slides), or enjoy adult-only time while the kids have fun.

Stay 7, pay for 4 or Stay 10, pay for 6 promotion is valid for travel now until March 27, 2020 and May 1-31, 2020. The promotion includes additional value added benefits for guests such as a catered sunset cruise, upgrade to the next bure category, and more.
